Looping ambiance of an empty suburb park in an august afternoon. Sounds of cars passing by and crickets. Recorded with a tascam dr-40.

Sunday afternoon (october 2014) at jardin des plantes in nantes (france). Recorder r05 (inbuilt stereo mic). Sitting on a bench near a small waterfall. Birds start to sing after few seconds. A man, somewhere in the park, is playing a traditional music instrument.

A recording of crickets chirping at night around griffith park. Occasionally, some light traffic can be heard. Recorded in a mid/side configuration with a sennheiser 416 and a rode nt2000. Edited to remove as much traffic sound as possible. Eqed with a bass rolloff, a slight boost around 5-8 khz (to hear more crickets), and a cut somewhere around 100-500 hz (to hear less of the traffic).

It is 5 am. I need some birdsounds for the project i work on. But the city is so loud. I only can do it very early in the morning.
